SM understands that music is a trend. SM understands how to reinforce a trend. SM understands that if people don’t hear from a particular act, they move on. SM understands that if it doesn’t maintain the name TVXQ, people move on.
But SM also understands that just as TVXQ was the rise of SM, TVXQ could also be the deterioration of SM if the game isn’t played properly.
SM’s “disabled mode” game
It’s clear that SM does not want JaeJoong, Yoochun and Junsu back as much as it just wants money compensation – or more specifically, to keep them on disabled mode, ruin their reputation, reduce their fans, and reduce the chances of real competition. Just as JYJ worked hard on creating an international album, it still had a lot of conflicts meeting them back home in Korea with planned-against-them little exposure which meant that JYJ’s album couldn’t do as well as it could have.
Contracts modified back in January 2010 should have seen Yunho and Changmin leave SM by December 2010 – but they extended their contracts. Why? – I’m asking this as if they are the ones that signed it, and not SM forging their signatures like they did in the past [keeping all possibilities open] – What they have been through musically is enough is make them sign the contract. As musicians they want to deliverer music, and they failed to do so unless it was a live performance in which they would reveal snippets of the new tracks. SM has been teasing HoMin and was only going to release the full tracks after the end of the 1st contract.
Despite feeling frustrated just understand that these guys cannot walk out of SM with so much negativity clouding above them; not for the sake of reputation as much as for their dignity, it’s best for Yunho and Changmin to walk out clean.
HoMin’s and JYJ’s singing activities have been put on disabled mode for such a long time, SM has been dragging the court case for a long time, and you can bet SM planned more time for strong reasons. SM planned it all too well; more time keeping down TVXQ is more time for other acts to rise.
Today, SM isn’t affected by TVXQ.
When TVXQ started SM had no other popular act which is why it was reluctant to listen to the fans when they rejected SM’s decision to remove JaeJoong from the band. Now, SM has Super Junior, SNSD, and SHINee who are all popular acts and have had a great 2010, in particular SHINee – score out great – they have had an outstanding year. It’s become a norm to see SM dominate the year; as one acts leaves, the other comes along.
So for those going against HoMin, you need to understand that SM won’t actually give much of a damn since it has so much it can fall back on. Yes, SM relies on the money that comes out of your pocket – but there won’t be much of an effect. If you still think going against HoMin will make SM re-consider a TVXQ reunion, then you’re not thinking straight.
Let’s say, HoMin overshadow JYJ = SM will be delighted
Let’s say, JYJ overshadow HoMin = SM will be pissed off
In both cases, neither HoMin nor JYJ will be truly happy. In fact, it could be very painful for both sides because this is the last thing they ever wanted. Start questioning SM’s true intentions if you haven’t already.
In both cases, SM remains unaffected as it has so much to fall back on now meaning SM can just enjoy making the moves on the chessboard without fearing consequences.
Like I said, [ link ] SM can’t lose – now it stands on an almost stable ground – because everything is going like it should even the division of Cassiopeia.

“I am grateful even if the interest shown is small” It can be seen that they have been going through a hard time.
Junsu expresses his disappointment towards DBSK through Twitter.
JaeJoong from the 3 member group JYJ was choked with emotions for a moment.
This was during the 6th when they had dinner together with reporters at a hotel in Seoul. They went to all the tables and made their greetings. JaeJoong’s emotional reaction was during the final greeting.
On this day, JaeJoong, together with the other members, expressed their thanks to the reporters who had been supporting them in JYJ’s activites. He was unable to overcome his emotions during that moment. After expressing their thanks, he saw every single reporter out individually and JaeJoong repeatedly said, “Thank you.”
In July 2009, JaeJoong, Junsu and YooChun left SM Entertainment and carried out their own activities on their own.
After the legal battle, the remaining members of DBSK are now starting new activities.
Junsu said, “I will try my very best to make this year a better year compared to last year.”
YooChun too added, “I would like to thank those who have been showing us even the smallest amount of interest.”
JaeJoong said, “Thank you for always showing us interest even though we are lacking and so many of you came today, thank you.” while saying this, he became overwhelmed with emotion.
One representative explained the reason for JaeJoong’s uncontrollable emotions, saying, “It has been a long time since he has met so many reporters and because so many turned up, I think he was touched.”
You cannot exclude what is going on around them now. Seeing HoMin going with the name TVXQ when they too are TVXQ. Seeing how the fandom is dividing. Seeing the mess that they never wanted to create… there’s so much brewing up underneathe and JaeJoong is just putting on a brave face.
The two members of DBSK who recently released an album and JYJ are clearly going on different paths. In the midst of this, interest is growing regarding the expressed thoughts of the members.
DBSK expressed their thanks to the head of SM Entertainment, Lee Soo Man, in the “Thanks To” section of their new album. With regards to this, Junsu tweeted, “I thought we had the same enemy. It seemed like it wasn’t the enemy for all of us. It seems like many things happened during the time when we weren’t together. Even though we are separated, it wasn’t supposed to be like this, hyung! Didn’t we have the same thought.” expressing his feelings of emotions.
Junsu’s full tweets: “Until now, I kept believing that it wasn’t true, I believed that (it) was the enemy of all five of us, but I guess it wasn’t really the enemy of all. To see that (they) expressed their gratitude to something I thought was both our enemies.. I guess a lot of things happened in the time we weren’t together. This is so tiring.”
He continued, “I keep wanting to think, hear, and see only good things, but it’s very hard to do that today. Even though we’ve been apart, you know that wasn’t right, hyung. We thought the same. Why are you being like this.”
Also interest is increasing regarding YooChun’s recently released lyrics to his self-composed song.
“It was an imprisonment which wasn’t meant to be an imprisonment for us. Extreme tears, loneliness, rage; all of these made us united as one. Even if anything were to happen, we said that we would not leave each other. I will turn my back first on you who have already changed.”
People are also under the impression that in the lyrics of the new song by DBSK seem to contain a hidden message directed at JYJ. “I will erase you from my heart completely and proceed on to a happy future. In the distant future, you will realize how genuine the love that you deserted was.” The lyrics contained such warnings and resolutions.
In any case, on this day, we could see how hard it has been for them. In the future, while supporting them in their activities, we are curious to see how this inherent discord will be resolved.
JaeJoong’s current profile:

Sim Jaewon, a former member of the SM group Black Beat and one of SM’s current choreographers, recently tweeted saying,
“I can’t just let this pass.. ..Little brother, this is really not right…. Who’s at blame here? Don’t pretend to be upset. Who do you think is really hurt….? You’re so ungrateful, how could you do this…?”
Dear Black Beat, I love your work and I think you’re fantastic but who are you to assume that Junsu isn’t hurt at all? Mate, you’ve crossed the line. I agree that Junsu was in the wrong to let his heart take over his mind, and let it all spill but this is just ouch! It’s not like JYJ are going through an easy time!
I agree, the lyrics of their comeback track is questionable so I understand why some are one edge but seriously, take the time out and imagine what Yunho and Changmin are really going through.
Junsu Oppa, why are letting yourself get hurt? What were you expecting? Did you expect a “Fuck You …” instead of a “Thank You” ?? – – – Are these words enough to erase memories? Please differentiate your brothers from business.
Junsu Oppa, you weren’t even thinking straight because their comeback as TVXQ, and as hurtful as it is for you and no less for them, should not have been surrounded by so much controversy. It’s enough what SM has scheduled but you, out of everyone who is talking, it’s you who should know your brothers. I wish you could be more supportive instead. Say something to your brothers minus SM. I’m angry at you but I keep saying to myself, “he’s just let his heart take over his mind”
Things in Cassiopeia Land spin out of control so easily and other artists have voiced up on Twitter but I hand it to Super Junior’s ShinDong who nailed it on the head:
“Enemy (敵): An opponent who wants to fight or hurt another.
Ingratitude (背恩忘德): An attitude of one throwing away their indebtedness to someone and betraying them.
In other words, saying that my family wants to fight or hurt another is an attitude of one throwing away their indebtedness to them and betraying them!”
Sungmin’s tweet frustrated me though, especially this part:
… I understood and forgave them for leaving us without a single word so they could find their own paths, but I don’t know why they are making fools out of people who are quietly doing well by saying all kinds of these absurd lies and hurtful sayings.”
I really want this to stop because pointing the finger of blame is just a never-ending argument.
Dear Sungmin, if only you would show some sort of appreciation that JYJ’s sacrafice is the reason why your contract was altered and made fair under the Fairtrades Commission… [ ! ]
* * *
PS: I support both HoMin and JYJ – as people, not as labels or business associated rivalry crap! Yes, SM has changed its contracts and made them fair but SM shows no desire to bring back JYJ – and that annoys me. I won’t let this be the reason as to why I’m going to put them against each other because that is not what they ever wanted. Please let’s all calm down and think straight.
